CVHarbor helps you prepare application documents. You remain responsible for the facts, claims, and files you submit. These terms describe what we provide, what we ask of you, and how either of us can end the arrangement.
You must have the right to upload and use resume, job, photo, and profile information. Review AI suggestions before using them in an application.
Scores, matches, and suggestions are guidance, not hiring decisions or guarantees of employment. An ATS score is our reading of how a parser is likely to handle your document, not a verdict from any employer or their software.
You control public sharing. Do not publish information you do not want visible to anyone with the link. A shared link works for anyone who has it until you turn sharing off.
One account belongs to one person. Keep your sign-in email secure — anyone who can read that inbox can sign in through a magic link. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access.
The free plan includes a limited number of saved CVs and AI runs. A paid plan raises those limits and unlocks exports, cover letters and tailored variants. Current limits and prices are shown on the pricing page before you pay; the price you see at checkout is the price charged.
Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose and renew automatically at the same price until cancelled. We take payment through our payment provider and never see or store your full card details. If a payment fails, your plan stays active while the provider retries; if those retries do not succeed, it returns to the free plan at the end of the period already paid for.
We may change prices for future periods. If a change affects your renewal we tell you by email beforehand, in time for you to cancel. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and that period is not refunded. Refunds and the statutory right of withdrawal are covered in the refund policy.
You can delete your account from your account settings. Deletion removes your CVs, saved jobs and AI usage history. Records we are legally required to retain, such as invoices, are kept for the statutory period and nothing else.
Your CV, your job notes and anything you write stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service you asked for — to render your documents, run the checks you start, and export the files you request. That permission is not transferable, does not let us publish or market your content, and ends when you delete it. We do not use your CV to train AI models.
Suggestions, rewrites and cover letter drafts produced from your material are yours to use, edit and send. Two things follow from how these systems work and are worth knowing: text a model generates may not attract copyright in the way something you wrote does, and a similar prompt from someone else can produce similar wording. Read anything you accept before you send it — a claim in your application is your claim, whichever of us typed it first.
ATS scores, match percentages and the hiring-manager verdict are our software’s opinion of your document, produced automatically. No employer sees them, no decision about you is made on the basis of them, and they have no legal effect. They can be wrong — about your field, your seniority, or what a particular employer values. Treat them as a second reading, and tell us at [email protected] if a result looks wrong so a person can look at it.
A share link is a long unguessable address, and anyone holding it can read that document without signing in. Shared pages ask search engines not to index them, but a link you paste somewhere public can still be found and copied. You can revoke a link at any time from the builder, which stops it working immediately; a copy someone already downloaded is beyond our reach. Deleting your account removes shared documents with everything else.
A CV usually names referees, managers and colleagues. You are responsible for having a reason to include them, and for telling them if that is expected of you. Do not add someone’s contact details as a referee without asking.
Do not upload content you have no right to use, impersonate another person, submit deliberately false information about someone else, attempt to break or overload the service, or resell access. AI features are for preparing your own applications.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. Where the law allows and the situation is not urgent, we tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of the period.
We aim to keep CVHarbor available but do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider outages and faults happen. Export your documents if you need a copy that does not depend on us.
We are liable without limit for injury to life, body or health, and for damage caused by intent or gross negligence. For ordinary negligence we are liable only where we breach a duty essential to this agreement, and then only for foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the German Product Liability Act.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we give at least 30 days notice by email, and continuing to use CVHarbor after it takes effect means you accept it. If you do not, you can cancel before then.
